Are we still a young team?

After today’s humiliating defeat by the hands of a depleted Australian cricket team, Dinesh Chandimal said: “ We are a young team, and we are always learning […] I am sure the boys will perform better in the South African tour”.

Well, this seems mighty familiar as this is the same lie that he has been telling us fans for years now. So today I decided to bring you some statistics on the number of international matches played by our ‘YOUNG’ cricket players and their ages. Dinesh Chandimal, if you or any of your representatives are reading this, please refrain from saying this same lie again and again after each defeat. You are not young any more and neither your teammates. You are just mediocre.
