Who is the next head coach for Sri Lanka? Is Paul Farbrace interested?

On the verge of Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh 1st ODI, the SLC have asked the current coaching staff to step down as per the recommendation of Sports minister, Mr. Harin Fernando.

While many people argue that Mahela Jayawardena, is the ideal candidate for this position, it is learnt that the SLC have short listed three foreign coaches for this position. It is also reliably learnt that while the SLC was eager to recruit Paul Farbrace as the head coach, Farbrace is not that interested in taking up the challenge. This is not so surprising based on how SLC have treated the most recent head coach.

A very reliable source at the SLC claim that among the short-listed coaches, there are two South Africans and one Australian. All of them have past experiences coaching international teams. While the Australian have played international Cricket in his days, the South Africans are said to be not played any international Cricket. The Australian is also said to be a coach of an IPL team.

A player from Zimbabwe may be hired as a batting coach.

Right now, this is all the information we have. But we think that this information is more than enough to guess who these short-listed individuals are 😊
